I’m printing the rails and they are coming out great. However, the connections for them are extremely loose. Is it supposed to be that way? Seems like it will be problematic on the table.
I can hold off. My project is a pretty big one, and I mostly wanted to a just have a set to put my engine on, which I’m going to build this weekend with my father in law who is a huge train buff. Thanks for looking into this, and for your responsiveness. I hope when I’m done I have something you might feel worthy of showing off to showcase your work.
That sounds like a fun project for you guys to do together! No problem at all, thank you for your support and understanding. I'm really looking forward to seeing your build once it's complete! Would love to show it off!I'll share an update here as soon as I've updated the tracks. Thanks Paul!-Cassidy
Hi Paul, the tracks look great multi-colored. Ideally they shouldn't be that loose. Have you printed more than these two? I'm sure you've tried this but when you flip them around are they still loose? We didn't experience this issue, but we can look into decreasing the tolerances for those connections if you think that might help your situation.-Cassidy
Okay, at least we're making some progress! I have one more update for you that I think should work really well for your machine. I'm amazed at its precision! I'm sorry that you're having to test so many of these, this info is incredibly helpful to us, we really appreciate it! Please let me know how this adapter works for you when you have a moment.
I don’t think it’s going to get better than that! Fits snug with just a teeny bit of tolerance. One side fit slightly more snug then the other but I have to assume that’s my machine being slightly off. Even so, I think this is perfect.
That looks a lot better! I'll update the rest of the track files for a tighter fit version that will available to everyone. I'll have it ready sometime this weekend. Thank you Paul for your assistance with this!-Cassidy
